Breakthrough: Transforming Fear Into Compassion –A New Perspective on the Israel-Palestine Conflict by former AIPAC member Richard Forer takes readers on a journey from prejudice and fear to compassion and clarity and to the revelation that, in truth, we are all Palestinian and we are all Israeli. The obstruction to this awareness is the unexamined mind, which projects its suffering onto the world and then blames the world for the turmoil that results. With meticulous documentation, the book clarifies virtually all aspects of the Israel-Palestine Conflict, especially those that are constantly used to justify oppression. The internal and unconscious thought processes that lead to accusations of anti-Semitism and self-hatred are also addressed.

In fact, Mr. Rich Forer has articulated in his book, what Dr. Martin Luther King had done toward the Civil Rights Movement in the USA “King has come to symbolize America's evolution toward a more racially just society. Indeed, King's involvement in the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott, his historic "I Have a Dream" speech in 1963, and his advocacy of the 1964 Civil Rights Act were monumental milestones in our country's struggle toward freedom, justice and equality.

Noted Israeli historian Ilan Pappe says that the book is “written in the most accessible style, and yet covering an impressive factual and historiographical ground.”

Anna Baltzer says “there has never been a book that takes on the daunting challenge of describing and deconstructing the unbelievably complex emotional and intellectual journey from prejudice to compassion on this issue… until now!”

This is a wonderful book. I highly recommend reading Breakthrough. I found the family problems and tensions were well written and incredibly touching.
Also this is a great reference book on the Palestine-Israeli conflict. This is the best fully researched place to find all the facts in one place.
